Summit Sports is looking for a positive, fun and engaging coach for our new Youth Leagues starting in November. Our Youth Leagues are built for the hundreds of youth athletes who are looking to continue to play volleyball in London. This is a majority play based league with coaches who provide coaching for each game, finding the teachable moments and ensuring each participant learns and has fun!

What are the Youth Leagues?

WHY are we running our Youth Leagues programs?
● Provide more opportunities for play for youth in the London volleyball community
● Keep youth involved in the sport of volleyball
● Provide more play based opportunities for youth based on feedback from the London sport community

WHAT do our participants get out of the Youth Leagues program?
● Lots of structured, organized game play
● Opportunities to learn the tactical side of the game
● Be a part of a team and work with a coach each week

What Coaches Do:
● Develop and implement group lessons for participants that are in line with the Youth Leagues program's goals
● Create and maintain an environment where participants are sure to have fun, be active and connect with new people
● Ensure play spaces are safe and ready for play, including equipment setup and take down
● Ensure Summit’s rules, safety protocols and conduct policies are enforced and put player safety first
● Answer any questions participants might have
● Do what it takes to ensure a fantastic participant experience

Who Coaches Are:
● Fantastic connectors, able to create a sense of belonging and connection among
participants
● Confident and fun individuals, with presence and positive energy
● Loyal, reliable team players
● Experienced coaches who have experience coaching youth (ages 11-15) in volleyball
● No certifications required

Instructors must commit for an entire cycle of play (roughly 6 weeks each). The Youth League will run Saturdays from 11:00 AM-2:00 PM (estimate, flexible to a degree) on the Summit Courts at the Activity Plex. This is a paid position. In addition Coaches play for FREE, on a night they are not coaching.

Coaches must have their own transportation to and from the league facilities.
